On April 25th, HIVE brought some the world's top international engineering leaders to Yerevan to share their expertise with a crowd of over 200 participants. HIVE's first Engineering Leadership Summit was hosted by the Tumo Center for Creative Technologies.
With over 600 applications to attend, the packed event brought Armenia's aspiring coders, developers, and software engineers to Tumo's fourth floor for workshops and talks by some of the industry's leading practitioners.
Speakers included: Alexis Ohanian from Reddit, Raffi Krikorian from Uber, David Singleton from Google, Dale Harrison from Facebook, Lennon-Day Reynolds from Urban Airship, David Loftesness from Twitter And Alexander Grosse from Issuu.
The all-day event took place simultaneously with Tumo's Musical Town Hall event - participants from both events mingled and networked during the lunch break. The HIVE Summit helped local innovators build connections with international leaders to improve their skills and workshop new ideas.
The speakers left Yerevan with a great appreciation for the developer talent and curiosity in Armenia, some hoping to come back soon to elaborate on their talks and continue supporting the local ecosystem. If you weren't able to attend, check out the full livestream from the event here:
